Jeff Tucker

As a native of Blount County, I appreciate the community and family atmosphere that we have in this area. Being raised by two amazing parents, I learned the value of hard work and honesty in all aspects of your life. My father, Tommy Tucker worked and retired from ALCOA as many other people in our community have done. My mother, Judy Tucker has been the Director of Childcare for Maryville First Baptist Church for over 40 years, many refer to her as Ms. Judy from the Church. She has played a pivotal role in lives of families and children for the last 43 years.

After graduating from Maryville High School in 1990, I was torn about what I really wanted to do with my life. I decided to join the United States Air Force and spent over 20 years serving this great country and getting to see the world as well. The Air Force was kind of like living in Blount County, it’s a small community that really thrived on family and always looking out for one another.

During my time in the Air Force, I not only had a sense of commitment to the military but also the community I lived in. I had numerous opportunities to volunteer my time working in orphanages overseas, working on projects through Habitat for Humanity, and multiple community projects on our base. I had 2 primary jobs while I was in, my first was a calibration technician which required precision and attention to detail. My 2nd job was as a Recruiter, which really allowed me to help young people out and help them find a way to better their lives like my recruiter did for me years ago.
